Webinar on Pregnant and Parenting Youth Experiences of Homelessness – Recording Now Available
Many youth in the U.S. who are experiencing homelessness are pregnant or parenting – 44% of young women are pregnant or mothers, and 18% of young men have a pregnant partner or are fathers. Chapin Hall estimates that as many as 1.1 million children have a young parent who experienced homelessness in the past year. What are the implications of these findings for policy, for services, for practitioners, for prevention?
In a recent webinar, Chapin Hall researchers reviewed key findings and recommendations from the Voices of Youth Count Research to Impact Brief, Missed Opportunities: Pregnant and Parenting Youth Experiencing Homelessness. They were joined by representatives from the National Alliance to End Homelessness and the National Network for Youth, who discussed their takeaways from the brief.
