Partner Communities

22 Communities Nationwide

Voices of Youth Count is partnering with 22 communities across the country in planning and executing youth counts, youth and surveys and provider surveys. In-depth youth interviews are also being conducted in five of these communities.

Our 22 partner communities were selected using a rigorous sampling methodology. They were intentionally chosen to be geographically diverse, include a mix of urban, suburban and rural communities, and have varying diverse local services for runaway and provider resources that serve homeless youth. This diversity permits communities not directly engaged with VoYC to learn from the experiences of communities that are similar to them. As a result, all communities across the country can learn from VoYC efforts.

Lead Agencies

A diverse set of anchor organizations are serving as Lead Agencies for VoYC partner communities. Their leadership, alongside the significant contributions of dozens of stakeholders within each community, has been crucial to the success of  VoYC efforts to engage and learn from a diverse array of youth.

A National Learning Community

To promote collaboration between the partner communities, Voices of Youth Count established a National Learning Community. Webinars and conference calls provide leaders with the opportunity to share knowledge, ask questions, and extend learning into current and future work.

VoYC National Learning Community conversations have grounded the research effort in reality, allowed VoYC to be responsive to what is happening in the field, accelerated change in practice, and are ensuring that lessons learned are integrated with findings and recommendations.
